Platform or loading bay, associated with the late 19th / early 20th-century Hawkmoor Mine. Not depicted on the early 20th century historic map, this was recorded in 1989 associated with woodland management recommendations. Lies to the north of the mine trackway, to the east of the mine buildings.

Full description

Dartmoor National Park Authority, 1989, Castor Copse - Archaeological Features Interim Note, Sketch plan, feature 3 (Un-published). SDV360478.

Platform or loading bay (feature 3) noted to the north of the mine trackway, to the east of the mine buildings. Feature measures 25 metres by 4 metres and as aligned south-west by north-east. Revetted to the north, it is recessed to the south.
