Shown on donn's map of 1765. The name 'old deer park' appears on os 6" 1964 at ss 685116 and this area is defined on donn's map of 1765 and less accurately on os 1 1809 (nmr).

No boundaries observed in the field were distinctive. The w boundary of the park may have been destroyed by the construction of the road and railway. Donn's map indicates the s boundary of the park running alongside the e-w road from chawleigh to eggesford, part of which is still visible on map through southcott wood (nmr citing simpson).
