Full description

Shame, S., 1994, Woodland Archaeological Survey Kennick and Tottiford Woods, Devon, Kennick, S3 (Report - Survey). SDV360483.

Pair of short granite gateposts seemingly unrelated to any field boundaries or cart tracks in the wood, although the 1843 Bovey Tracey Tithe Map reveals this sector of woodland was, at that time, divided into three fields; these posts may have marked an entrance into the narrow, middle field.
