Summary

Circular mound recorded in 1994 woodland survey. Close to the western boundary wall, it consists of piled up natural stone, covered in earth. Measures around 2.0 metres in diameter and may be a clearance cairn.

Full description

Shame, S., 1994, Woodland Archaeological Survey Kennick and Tottiford Woods, Devon, Kennick, Y2 (Report - Survey). SDV360483.

A large cairn constructed from earth over natural stones stands just east of the western field boundary wall. Approximately 2.0 metres in diameter, it is roughly circular. Moss and grass covered, it seems to have been disturbed on its eastern side.
