Full description
Jenkinson, T., 2006, Unclassified/B3257 Lewtrenchard to Bere Ferrers (Report - Survey). SDV348114.
Milestone on west side of road at junction with minor road, about 50 metres north of turn to Honeytor. Tall granite milestone dating from circa 1832 showing the distance to the quays at Morwellham where products from the local mines such as copper, arsenic and lead would be shipped down river. Pointing hands are visible on two faces.
Inscribed Callington/7/Miles/The/Quays/3/Miles/To/Milton/Abbot/5/Miles. The word 'Callington' is carved in an arc.
