Summary

No longer extant; this farmstead / smallholding is depicted on the Tithe Map 250 metres north-east of Seale Stoke farm. Extended / altered in the later 19th century, it appears to have declined in the early 20th century. A single farm building remains, which may date to the 19th century.

Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments, Plot 26 (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Farm buildings recorded as part of 'Seales Stoke' on the Tithe Map; plot 26. Depicted with two buildings, one large L-shaped and another smaller rectangular/square structure, set adjacent to the road, around 250 metres north-east of Seales Stoke.

By the later 19th century, three buildings are shown; one may be one of those shown on the Tithe Map. The L-shaped building is no longer shown, but a rectangular roughly east-west aligned building is shown to the south and a small square structure to the western end of the building adjacent to the track / road. A further small rectangular building shown to the north, at the end of the track, which may also be part of the farmstead.
