The fragmentary remains of a field system are visible as a series of low earth banks on aerial photographs (p1&2 and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. One bank is markedly sinuous in character and follows the contour of the river Lew flood plain for 515m. The features lie within an area classed as medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon and are likely to be medieval or later in origin.
