Summary

A sub-circular cropmark of a levelled mound visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 has been interpreted as a possible Bronze Age barrow, to the southeast of Galford, Lewtrenchard.

A mound, 7.5m x 7m, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. The date and function of this feature are uncertain; a Scheduled barrow is situated 210m to the north east and it is possible that this mound is a plough-levelled barrow.
