Summary

An indistinct curvilinear cropmark ditch of a possible prehistoric enclosure is partially visible on aerial photographs of 1947, to the northeast of Rampsonwillis, Thrushelton Parish. The cropmark is also possibly the result of modern agricultural practice.

Transcriptions of a curvilinear ditch correspond to the grid reference for PRN167148.

A possible univallate curvilinear enclosure, 23m x at least 20m, is partially visible as a crop mark ditch on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. The eastern side of the feature is truncated by the present day field hedge. There is a possible entrance in the enclosure's southern side. The crop mark is quite distinct but it is possible that it is caused by a tractor turning at this spot.
