Summary

Cropmarks of a levelled mound are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 to the south of Huddispitt, Thrushelton and have been interpreted as a possible post-medieval to 19th century spoil heap associated with small-scale quarrying, or a possible Bronze Age barrow.

A mound, 11m x 7m, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. Its date and function are uncertain: it could be a spoil tip associated with small-scale quarrying or, alternatively, a plough-levelled round barrow.
