Summary
Located to the south of the weigh house; this building is depicted on the late 19th century historic map and is one of only two of the four structures shown that was still identifiable during a 1997 survey. Only survives as stone footings for a building that may have been wooden / corrugated iron construction.

Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
The most south-easterly of a group of four buildings depicted on the late 19th century historic map lying to the south-east of the western lime kiln at Meldon.

The footings of a larger building lie to the south of the weigh bridge and although not shown on the 1905 historic map this structure does occur in a contemporary photograph. In 1905 this seems to be a wooden or corrugated iron structure on stone foundations.
An engraving, published by Page in 1890, though drawn up 16 years earlier, shows all three buildings (including MDV120291), before the construction of the kiln (Page, 1890, 24).
