A 720m long linear feature runs SE from Hole Ball Cross through four fields to join a lane near Patchacott Cross that lies perpendicular to it. A further length of ditch continues south for 240m on the other side of the lane; it is not clear whether this is a continuation of the first feature, or the remains of a field boundary. It is likely that the longer feature is the remains of a trackway or hollow-way: 120m of its length is visible as a single ditch, but the rest consists of a ditch with an external bank on one or both sides. The site has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
