A series of cultivation marks, similar to straight, narrow ridge and furrow, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the NMP. The marks are likely to be 20th century, in origin. The features cover an extensive area, from SS 45713 01186 in the west (where some survive as low earth ridges) to SS 46740 01713 in the east. The features lie within an area classed as rough ground in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
