A series of ditches, most probably drains, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. Most of the ditches are running (on average for 415m) along an east-west alignment and might alternatively be trackways. Two ditches run at right angles to these and are forming a subrectangular enclosure, 98m x 72m. These ditches are possibly tractor marks rather than the result of archaeological activity. The features lie partly within an area classed as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures and partly within an area classed as rough ground in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
