An oblong mound, 25m x 14m, is visible on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. The date and function of this feature are uncertain. It resembles a modern reservoir but is not shown or marked as such on any OS maps. It lies within an area classed as rough ground showing signs of earlier use as agricultural land in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
