A series of three parallel sinuous field boundaries are visible as cropmark banks on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. A further boundary to the immediate north west survives as a low earth bank. A possible fifth bank is visible as a cropmark at SS 45224 02587 although this feature may be a tractor mark rather than a result of archaeological activity. The features lie within an area classed as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon and are likely to be medieval or later in origin.
