Extensive traces of cultivation marks, similar to straight, narrow ridge and furrow, are visible as a combination of cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs (p1&2) and were digitally plotted as part of the NMP. The marks are likely to be post medieval, possibly 20th century, in origin. For the most part the features lie within an area classed as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
