Two curvilinear field boundaries are visible as low earth banks on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. These features lie within an area classed as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon and are likely to be medieval or later in origin. To the south are traces of cultivation marks (p2), similar to straight, narrow ridge and furrow, which are likely to be a recent episode of land improvement. To the east, at SS 47675 02515, are three further removed boundaries in an area classed as rough ground in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
