The fields around Windsmoor Farm contain traces of narrow, straight cultivation marks resembling ridge and furrow. These features are visible on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. In one field, at SS 45476 04145, the marks survive as low earthworks but otherwise they are visible only as cropmarks. The features lie within an area classed as rough ground in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
