Four linear features are visible as single banks lying adjacent to one another on aerial photographs (p1). The features are located within an area descibed as 'Park or garden' for Devon’s Historic Landscape Characterisation; this suggests that it is within the northern part of Stevenstone Park. It is possible that the linear features pre-date the designed landscape of the deer park; they are likely to be field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval origin. They have been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
