Parallel ridging is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. It is very straight and therefore considered likely to be cultivation marks of post medieval or earlier origin.The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
