Two wide ditches are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) on the flood plain of the River Taw to the west of Mollands Farm. They are considered to be field boundaries or drainage features of medieval or later origin although a natural origin cannot be ruled out. These features were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme and are sited within an area described as rough ground showing signs of earlier use as agricultural land in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
