The possible site of a medieval or post medieval extractive pit or quarry is visible as low rounded earthworks on aerial photographs (p1). It is not marked on any edition OS map and was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
