Parallel ridging is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1). It is considered likely to be medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow. The site was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme and lies within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
