Summary

Hillslope enclosure circa 500 metres north of Upcott Farm, visible on 1940s Royal Airforce aerial photograph and Lidar image. A field boundary followed the west and part of the south side of the enclosure until the later 20th century.

SILVESTER + BALKWILL, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV265289.

Hillslope enclosure identified on ap by dcra fso. Vis=-/-/1976 (silvester + balkwill) field boundary shown on west of enclosure on os 6" utilised the bank of this enclosure, but hedge is now removed. Vis=a low bank and slight external hollow is still visible for virtually the whole perimeter. Bank less than 0.5m high. On the west side, some evidence for either a hollow way or an external bank (worksheet). Vis=only a small part of the bank on the north side can be seen on raf 1946 ap.
