Earthworks of a square ditched enclosure with central mound of potential medieval date is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1988, to the east of Warkleigh Barton, Satterleigh and Warkleigh. It is possibly associated in some way to the medieval manor site at Warkleigh.

A square ditched feature with central mound is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) to the east of Warkleigh. It is 9m across and may be an enclosure or platform of medieval or later date. The feature was plotted during the National Mapping Programme and is sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
