Fragments of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) to the west of The Downs. The parallel ditched features were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme and are sited within an area described as rough ground in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
