Banked field boundaries of medieval or later date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) to the south-west of Winson. They were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme and are sited within areas described as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures and as C15th to C18th ‘Barton’ fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
