Summary

Two linear cropmark ditches are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947, to the southeast of West Satterleigh, Satterleigh and Warkleigh. They have been interpreted as the remains of a possible prehistoric enclosure, although they may also represent former medieval or post-medieval field boundaries.

Two lengths of ditch are visible on aerial photographs (p1). They runs W-E and N-S, and appear to almost but up to one another. It is possible that these are fragmented remains of a rectilinear enclosure that would have been 63m long x 56m wide. The site has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
