Summary

A series of cropmark ditches interpreted as a possible prehistoric enclosure, with associated field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947, to the southeast of Satterleigh Barton, Satterleigh and Warkleigh.

A group of single ditched linear features are visible on aerial photographs (p1). These features include the fragmented remains of a possible enclosure, at least 52m long x 41m wide with an internal ditch. Ditched features to the north and south of the enclosure appear to be associated with it; it is possible that these are lengths of field boundary. The site has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
