A large cut feature, oval in shape and roughly 63m long x 17m wide, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (p1). It is likely to be the remains of a quarry, though it is not marked as such on either modern or historic mapping available to the National Mapping Programme. It has been digitally plotted as part of the NMP.
