Parallel ridges are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) in a field to the north-east of Taw Green Farm. These features are possibly medieval ridge and furrow or may be later ridging associated with post medieval tree planting. These features were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.

The earthworks more likely represent the remains of tree planting banks of a former orchard as the land parcel is named as Home Orchard on the Tithe Apportionment.
