Summary

A linear cropmark bank interpreted as a possible medieval or post-medieval field boundary is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1984, to the south of The Barton, North Tawton.

Transcriptions of a linear bank correspond to the grid reference for PRN167018.

A long linear feature is visible on aerial photos (p1) as a single bank. The ditch runs E-W for 226m. It is on a similar alignment to surrounding extant fields described as 'Modern Enclosures' for Devon’s Historic Landscape Characterisation. The feature has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
