An earthwork hollow is visible on aerial photos (p1). It is the remains of a reservoir marked on the 1907 OS 2nd edition1:2500 mapping. It replaced a smaller reservoir marked in 1880 but no longer visible, and has in turn been replaced by a larger structure recorded on modern OS maps. The site has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
