Medieval or post medieval ridge and furrow fields, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. They are associated with the abandoned settlement of Petersham which is marked on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 scale map and were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
