A system of parallel ditches is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) on the east of South Moor Lane. These features appear to follow the line of the contours and are therefore considered to be the remains of a post medieval catch meadow irrigation system. They were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
