Straight linear ditches are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. They are considered likely to be post medieval drainage features, however, they are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon and may therefore be of medieval origin.
