Curvilinear cropmark ditches have been identified in this location.

A series of removed field boundaries are visible as cropmark ditches on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. The boundaries are forming irregular rectilinear fields typically 135m x 95m. They lie within an area classed as medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon and probably date from that period.
