A rectilinear banked field system of medieval or earlier date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The field system predates the quarry described in record 166759. The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
