Two parallel field banks are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs (p1). They lie in an area described as Enclosures of post-medieval date, (Webcode 19: fields laid out in the C18th and C19th) according to the Devon’s Historic Landscape Characterisation. These field banks however may be of earlier origin. They were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
