A small pit, 15m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1) 240m to the south-east of Kitchadon. It is considered likely to be an extractive pit or quarry. It is not marked on any edition OS map and may therefore be of C19 or earlier origin. It was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme.
