Transcriptions of banks and a ditch correspond to the grid reference for PRN167320.

A curved bank and ditched feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (p1-2) to the south of Hilltown Cottage. It is considered likely to be the former course of the road prior to the construction of the railway. The site was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as C18th and C19th post-medieval enclosures in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
