A large rectilinear platform, 64m by 30m, has been cut into the slope to the east of Eggesford House. Traces of walls appear to lie within the platform which is visible on aerial photographs (p1). These features were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as a park or garden in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
