Parallel ridge and furrow is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs (p1). Trees are marked here on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 scale map and therefore it is likely that these ridges are the remains of a post medieval orchard. The site was digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as rough ground showing signs of earlier use as agricultural land in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
