Barkingdon Manor SX778655
A probable socket stone lies on the right of the approach to Barkingdon Manor House. A socket stone, octagonal in shape with a chamfered top edge, it has been hollowed out to form a trough. The socket stone was brought from Buckfastleigh by the present owners of Barkingdon Manor, in 2009.
Socket stone 0.78 metres by 0.38 metres high (octagonal). Inside circular 0.55 metres in diameter.
