Cornwall Archaeological Unit, 2017, South Cornwall Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey Desk-Based Assessment, 1018 (Interpretation). SDV360825.

A late 19th century stables. First recorded on the circa 1880 Ordnance Survey map. Rectangular in plan and two storeys in height. Stables to ground floor and hay loft above. Slate rubble walls with brick surrounds to all openings. Rusticated granite quoins to three corners. Opening to hay loft on south side. Pitched slate roof. Forming part of the north gable end are three architectural fragments: a tracery fragment in the apex of the gable, a window sill fragment, plus a block bearing an incised ‘X’, possibly a mason’s mark.
