A system of rectilinear ditched enclosures, each roughly 80m x 60m, is visible on aerial photographs (p1). They lie within an area of land classified as ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields' in Devon’s Historic Landscape Characterisation, and are likely to be part of a field system of medieval origin. They have been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
