A Post Medieval water meadow, known locally as a Catch Meadow Irrigation System, is visible as earthworks, on aerial photographs. Two roughly parallel drains follow the contour for 200m on a slope to the east of Brockhole farm. They are centred at SS 9687 2640.
The exact aerial photograph used for transcription is not specified, but this reference is given:
