Summary

Site of chapel at coplestone house. Vis=estimated -/-/1796(polwhele) here was a chapel, a mint, a prison and a lodge now all destroyed. In 1384 a licence was granted to the copplestone family for a private chapel in the mansion of colebrooke (oldham). Vis=12/3/1970(os) there is nothing on the ground to indicate the site of a chapel immediately to the north of the house (os).
