Full description

Transcriptions of ditches correspond to the grid reference for PRN166448.

Two perpendicular ditched field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) and were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. They are of uncertain origin, underlying the field system marked on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 map and in close proximity to a potentially prehistoric enclosure described in CIN 50137. The features are sited within an area described as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
